Initial plan was to engage Winson from Dot 3 (previously from Unimax) to do our renovation... but conflicts soon arised and we find him not up to our expectations... but since we have already paid him a $200 deposit.. we told him that we will only let him do half of our work and the other half we will find others to do... but his attitude got worst and said he would rather we not engage him at all.. well that's even better for us... because I am very unpleased and pissed off with his attitude and his unprofessional...

So I started sourcing around for more quotations... finally decide to engage a contractor instead... since I have already gotten the 3D drawings from Winson.. talking about this.. the 3D drawings weren't even what I wanted.. so I can only use it as a guide... Winson didn't contribute any ideas at all.. all the ideas were from us... then what is the use of engaging an ID... might as well get a contractor...

Got a contractor contact through my hubby's uncle... his name is Ah Liang... he is my hubby's uncle longtime friend... so can be trusted, won't mark up too high and he has been in this line for about 20 yrs... so very experienced... can sense it when telling him about my expectations and requirements...

happy to get him to do our renovation... gave us a very good price... almost $3K savings when compared to Winson's quotation... because we are not getting a renovation loan.. so every single cent counts...

Chanced upon this chandelier at Singapore Expo Home Fair by Excellence Home Gallery...  Usual price is S$999... initially the salesman says give me 30% discount at S$699... Hubby & I love it at first sight coz the whole thing is made from frosted glass and even the bulbs are frosted... which I didn't see it selling at other shops before...

But I don't intend to commit so early coz I haven't gone to see other lighting shops yet... so I declined the offer.. but he is quite persistent and keep persuading me to buy it... eventually he did convince me to buy the chandelier coz he gave me an even lower price and since we love the chandelier too... we decided to purchase it... keke.. :)
